The German Research Foundation funds the Berlin Potsdam Research Group on ‘The International Rule of Law – Rise or Decline?’ for another four years
The Research Group, which took up its work in 2015 and is supported by Freie Universität, Humboldt Universität and Universität Potsdam, examines the role of international law in a changing global order. In the second funding period, the group will focus on which type of international law we may see emerging.

The Research Group engages in different kinds of events in order to foster the exchange among its members, as well as with other academics, institutions and policy-makers, including by organizing public events. The Research Group meets on a bi-weekly basis to discuss research projects and for informal lunch talks with invited guests. In addition, the group organizes academic conferences and workshops, as well as public lectures and other events.
