The Research Group, which took up its work in 2015 and is supported by Freie Universität, Humboldt Universität and Universität Potsdam, examines the role of international law in a changing global order. In the second funding period, the group will focus on which type of international law we may see emerging.

KFG welcomes new senior fellow: Tiyanjana Maluwa
On 1 February 2017, Prof. Dr Tiyanjana Maluwa joined the Kolleg-Forschungsgruppe as a new senior fellow.
Tiyanjana Maluwa holds the H. Laddie Montague Chair in Law at Pennsylvania State University School of Law, where he was for many years the Associate Dean for International Affairs and, concurrently, Director of the School of International Affairs. He previously worked as the Legal Counsel of the Organization of African Unity (now the African Union) and, subsequently, as the Legal Adviser to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
